Loading... Do you ever leave comments on hubs that you have not read in full?

No I don't leave any feed back or comment if I didn't read the whole article, when I comment it must come from my heart. I don't like to flatter.

But if I read the whole hub I will thank the hubber for the information in my comment

I do sometimes, but not very often, and then only if I'm already familiar with that person's writing style or the point of the hub has been clearly spelled out in the first few paragraphs. It's also not necessary to re-read an entire hub before leaving an additional comment in reply to one made by the author or another commenter.

I don't leave comments if I haven't read the whole Hub. In fact, I often don't leave comments if I have, because if I don't have anything to say that I think adds something to the discussion I won't add the old "good Hub" thing without anything else to say. I generally always (unless I forget, which I don't do too often) vote a good Hub up.

If I think I have something that might be worth saying on the person's Hub, I'll say it. Sometimes I do longer comments, and not everyone appreciates those; but I figure they can just not-approve the comment if they don't want it on there. Personally, I like it when someone takes the time to write a long, thought-out, comment (and contribution to the Hub).

I think if I ran into a Hub that I'd see as great reading (but didn't feel like reading at the time) I'd probably vote it up and leave. If people go around leaving meaningless (or close to meaningless) comments on too many Hubs, they're likely to see their score drop; because HubPages discourages that.

In fairness to some people who make comments that make it seem they didn't read the Hub, just the other day I went back to a Hub that I had read and commented on. It turned out I completely misinterpreted where the writer was "coming from". I went back to see if I'd missed something when I read, and I couldn't see that I'd missed anything. So, sometimes it can look as if a person didn't really read when, in fact, s/he did. :/ BUT, in that case, I think someone would see from the substance of my comment that I had missed "where the writer was coming from", rather than believe I didn't read the Hub at all.

Never, and I could comment on person's hub and not necessarily follow them. I guess I'm picky. To be honest when I comment on a hub, I usually return to that hub later on and see what the hubs author or other's have commented.

To be honest, if a person doesn't have much to say, you can also use the feedback tool that is located just under the hub for beautiful, interesting, funny etc or encourage the hubber with fan mail. I think the comments should be reserved for what it is meant for: to be insightful and engaging.

If I could I'd spend more time working on hubs and also the Hubpages community to build my writing skills. I think the more I build my writing skills and creative technique the more it will also influence my commenting (it already has).

Actually, I do not think it is always necessary to read a hub in full to form an opinion. If the reader is bored, or have formed an impression about the writing style at an earlier juncture, it is possible to leave a meaningful and constructive comment based upon that.

No, not at all. How can I give my judgment concerning a hub which I have not read? In case I am tired and bored and I didn’t read it full, I’ll leave the hub without commenting.

I don't read as many hubs as I should, but I would never consider leaving a comment without reading the article in full. I try to leave comments on the hubs that I do read in full, though. If the hub isn't interesting enough to keep my interest, why am I going to waste time on leaving a comment? Then again, noting the lack of captivation somehow in a nice, constructive way may be worthwhile to some of us.

I read full content of a hub before commenting. It is not fair to be comment without reading the full content of the hub.

Another point. If someone has left a comment on your hub, then I prefer to post my reply comment immediately - even if it is just a thank you msg.

Well I don't pass comment if I didn't read hub,and if anyone does,it shouldn't be done that way, "HE who doesn't read is the same as HE who can't read at all"there is much to gain in reading!

I am new to Hubpages, and I have been reading so much and really enjoying it, I have read a few that I started and lost interest and I just moved on, I think that it if you make a comment it shoul be based on reading the inforation presented, thats why we are writing to be read.. I am not sure about the ones that just do this to climb ladders it seems kinda sad. there are some amazing creative people here, and they deserve genuine insight.. just sayin... Cheers!
